ACE 15XW Maintenance Checklist

Daily pre-start checks · Service schedule by operating hours · Warning alert actions — ACE 15XW 15T pick-n-carry mobile crane with Simpson S433(I) F1 CEV BS-III engine, 140 L hydraulic tank, 45 L fuel tank and air-pressure brake safety checks.

Daily Pre-Start Checklist

Complete before starting the engine or lifting any load. Any failed check means the crane must be tagged out and reported before use.

Every Shift
1

Engine Oil

Dipstick check on level ground with cold engine; level must be between MIN and MAX.

Act if: low level, black oil or milky oil is found — top up or stop and investigate.

2

Engine Coolant

Check overflow reservoir; do not open radiator cap when hot.

Act if: coolant is below MIN or contaminated — cool down and correct before running.

3

Fuel System

Check fuel gauge is above 1/4 tank and drain water from the pre-filter bowl.

Act if: water is present or fuel level is low — drain/refuel before operation.

4

Air Pressure

Check air pressure gauge; minimum 5 bar is required before operating brakes.

Act if: pressure is low — do not move the crane until pressure is adequate.

5

Hydraulic Oil

Check sight glass on hydraulic tank; oil must be between marks.

Act if: foam or discolouration appears — suspect contamination and investigate.

6

Hoist Rope

Inspect full rope run for broken wires, kinks, bird-caging and flat spots.

Act if: any broken wire or rope damage is found — stop use and replace/inspect.

7

Hook Block

Check latch snaps closed, swivel rotates freely and hook has no cracks/deformation.

Act if: latch is faulty, hook is cracked or swivel binds — do not lift.

8

Boom Pins

If 4-part boom is fitted, confirm all pins are engaged and retaining clips are locked.

Act if: any pin or clip is missing/loose — do not lift.

9

Tyres

Visually check all 6 tyres for cuts, sidewall bulges, flat spots or pressure loss.

Act if: any defective tyre is found — do not travel or lift.

10

Leak Walk-Round

Check under crane and hose runs for oil, fuel, coolant or hydraulic leaks.

Act if: any active leak is visible — repair before operation.

11

Lights & Horn

Test reverse lamp, horn and indicators if fitted.

Act if: any safety light/horn fails — fix before road travel or site movement.
