Tata LPK 2518 RMC Maintenance Checklist

Daily pre-start checks · Kilometre-based service schedule · Warning alerts and immediate actions for the Tata LPK 2518 RMC transit mixer.

Daily Pre-Start Checklist

Complete every check before starting the engine or loading concrete. Allow approximately 10 minutes.

Every Shift
1

Engine Oil

On level ground with a cold engine, check the dipstick is between MIN and MAX.

Act if: low—top up with the approved grade. Milky or foamy oil—report immediately.

2

Engine Coolant

Check the radiator overflow reservoir is between MIN and MAX.

Act if: low—top up with approved coolant. Never open the cap while the engine is hot.

3

Fuel & Sedimenter

Maintain at least a quarter tank and drain water from the fuel pre-filter bowl.

Act if: water or contamination is present—drain and inspect before starting.

4

Air Pressure & Warning Lamps

Build air pressure to the safe range; check oil, charge, coolant and brake lamps at key-on and after start.

Act if: low-pressure warning or any active fault remains—do not move the vehicle.

5

Mixer Drum & Chute

Check for hardened concrete, worn or loose blades, smooth rotation, unusual vibration, and secure chute pins.

Act if: noise, vibration or damaged components are found—stop and inspect before loading.

6

Water Tank & Pump

Check water level, tank, hoses and pump for leaks; test spray nozzles for blockage.

Act if: blocked or leaking—clean or repair before the next load.

7

Drum-Drive Hydraulics

Check reservoir level and inspect hoses, pump, motor and fittings for leaks or cracks.

Act if: low level, an active leak or damaged hose is found—do not operate the drum.

8

Tyres

Walk around all 10 tyres; check pressure loss, cuts, bulges and clearance between dual rear tyres.

Act if: damaged or deflated—replace or correct before travel.

9

Leak Walk-Round

Check beneath the chassis for engine oil, fuel, coolant, hydraulic oil and air leaks.

Act if: any active leak is found—tag out and repair before operation.

10

Lights, Horn & Mirrors

Test headlights, indicators, reverse lamp, reverse alarm and horn; adjust mirrors.

Act if: any safety device fails—repair it before the shift.
