Warning Alerts & Immediate Actions
RED = stop engine immediately. AMBER = take action before continuing. Confirm thresholds with the Komatsu PC210LC-10M0 O&M manual.
Engine Overheat
Engine water temperature exceeds safe limit — overheat prevention system activated
Immediate action: STOP machine immediately. Shut off engine. Do NOT open radiator cap while hot. Wait for full cooldown before inspecting.
Risk if ignored: Engine seizure, warped cylinder head, cracked block, total engine failure
Hydraulic Oil Temperature High
Hydraulic oil temperature above operating limit — system pressure and efficiency drop sharply
Immediate action: STOP operations. Lower boom to ground. Run engine at idle only to allow cooling. Shut down if temp continues rising.
Risk if ignored: Hydraulic pump failure, seal degradation, hose rupture, fire risk from high-pressure oil
Hydraulic Return Filter Clogged
Clogging sensor (standard equipment) triggers LCD caution — hydraulic return filter blocked
Immediate action: STOP operations immediately. Replace hydraulic return filter before resuming any hydraulic work.
Risk if ignored: Pump cavitation, cylinder internal contamination, hydraulic system damage
Battery Charge Failure
Alternator (24 V / 60 A brushless) not charging — battery charge warning on LCD
Immediate action: STOP work. Do not restart after shutdown. Check alternator belt tension and electrical connections. Call service.
Risk if ignored: Total electrical failure, ECU fault, unable to restart machine on site
Blow-By Pressure High
Blow-by pressure detection sensor (standard) detects excess crankcase pressure — engine internal fault
Immediate action: STOP engine immediately. Do not restart. Contact Komatsu authorised service. Record fault code from LCD memory.
Risk if ignored: Severe engine internal damage, turbocharger failure, oil contamination throughout engine
Air Cleaner Clogged
Air cleaner restriction indicator lit on LCD — filter element requires cleaning or replacement
Immediate action: Finish current swing/operation at safe point. Clean or replace outer element. Check pre-cleaner cup first (dusty sites).
Risk if ignored: Engine power loss, increased fuel consumption, black smoke, long-term turbocharger and engine wear
Fuel Level Low
Fuel gauge approaching reserve — 408 L tank nearly empty
Immediate action: Finish current operation at a safe stop point. Refuel immediately. Do NOT allow tank to run completely empty.
Risk if ignored: Engine starves and stalls unexpectedly, fuel system air lock, costly re-priming and potential injection pump damage
Maintenance Interval Due
LCD monitor maintenance alert: oil or filter replacement interval has been reached
Immediate action: Complete the flagged service at the next safe stop. Do not exceed the notified interval.
Risk if ignored: Accelerated component wear, oil degradation, warranty void, undetected contamination
Track Tension Abnormal
Track appears slack or over-tight — visible from ground or felt as rough travel
Immediate action: STOP at a safe flat area. Adjust track tension using the hydraulic track adjuster. Re-check after 1 hour.
Risk if ignored: Track derailment, roller guard and link damage, sudden loss of mobility on jobsite
Swing Circle Lubrication Warning
Swing circle grease nipple not serviced at 50h interval — grease-bathed circle running dry
Immediate action: STOP swing operations. Apply grease to swing circle nipple before resuming swing work.
Risk if ignored: Premature swing circle bearing wear, costly replacement, swing instability during lifting
