The Apollo AP 600 is a hydrostatic sensor paver for asphalt and wet mix macadam paving. It uses an Ashok Leyland H4C513020 CEV Stage V engine, hydraulically extendible telescopic screed, high traction wheel drive with automatic flow control and a TV 4900 gas heated screed as standard.

Daily Pre-Start Inspection

Complete before the first shift with the engine stopped unless a functional check requires it running.

Access, guards & fire protection

Inspect the platform, steps, handrails, guards and anti-slip surfaces; check extinguisher mounting, charge and seal if fitted.

Act if: access is unstable, a guard is missing, or the fitted extinguisher is damaged, discharged or out of date.

Emergency stop & warnings

Function-test the emergency stop, horn, travel lights, warning lights and reversing alarm if fitted.

Act if: the machine does not stop correctly or any safety warning device fails.

Engine, coolant & fuel

Check engine oil, coolant, the 135 L fuel tank, caps, hoses, cooling pack and visible leakage.

Act if: a level is below the safe range, fluid is contaminated, or an active leak or overheat warning is present.

Air intake & aftertreatment

Check the restriction indicator, intake hoses and clamps; read all DOC, SCR, ASC and DPF messages at key-on.

Act if: there is an unfiltered-air path, restriction warning, stop lamp, derate or regeneration fault.

Act if: a crack, bent part, loose pin, leakage or unsafe movement is present.

Act if: a drive is jammed, a chain or flight is damaged, a bearing is hot or a guard is loose.

Inspect the screed plate, end plates, extensions, tamper bars, vibrators, bearings and fasteners.

Act if: cracking, excessive wear, looseness, seizure, heat or abnormal noise is found.

Inspect propane or diesel lines, hoses, regulators, burners, cylinder restraints and the heater area.

Act if: fuel or gas is leaking, a hose is damaged, a cylinder is unsecured or burner control fails.

Check grade and slope sensors, material sensors, cables, console, battery, terminals and electrical panel.

Act if: response is erratic or any cable, wiring or terminal is damaged, loose or corroded.
