Daily Pre-Operational Checklist

Complete every check before engine start and before any lift. On a 100-tonne crawler crane, a single active defect can cause catastrophic loss — if in doubt, do not operate.

Engine Oil Level

Dipstick check with the engine cold — level between MIN and MAX.

Act if: below MIN — top up the correct grade; milky or metallic oil — stop the engine immediately.

Check the expansion tank (MIN–MAX); never open the cap when hot; check the radiator for external blockage.

Act if: below MIN — top up coolant mix once cool; blocked radiator — clean before starting.
