Detailed technical specifications for SANY STC600S 60T Truck Crane
Daily pre-start checks · Service schedule by operating hours · Warning alert actions — SANY STC600S 60T truck crane, inline-6 Euro V diesel, CAN-bus SYMC control with ±3% load-moment limiter. Combines chassis (travel) and superstructure (lifting) maintenance.
Complete before every shift and again before the first lift of the day. Allow ~15–20 minutes — this covers both chassis (travel) and crane superstructure (lifting) checks.
Dipstick — wipe clean, reinsert and pull again (engine cold or after 5 min idle).
Act if: below MIN — top up with correct grade; milky/foaming oil — stop the engine immediately.
Check the overflow reservoir on the engine side — engine must be cool.
Act if: below MIN — top up coolant mix; brown/dirty coolant — plan a flush.
Retract the boom fully, outriggers and jib stowed; check the sight glass on the 686 L tank.
Act if: below visible range — top up; milky/white colour (water) — stop and investigate.
Check the fuel gauge and drain water from the sediment bowl (350 L tank, ≤43 L/100 km road).
Act if: below ¼ tank — refuel before the shift. Never run dry.
Visually check all wheels (12.00R20-20PR × 12); inspect sidewalls and tread for damage.
Act if: cuts, bulges or low pressure — do not travel or set up outriggers until corrected.
Walk a full circle — check the ground beneath the chassis and crane superstructure for fluid.
Act if: any active drip or puddle (fuel, oil, coolant) — find the source and repair before starting.
Check the dashboard/filter-housing indicator; tap and clean the pre-cleaner if working in dust.
Act if: indicator in the red zone — clean or replace the primary element before starting.
Check the 2 × 12 V battery terminals are clean, tight and corrosion-free.
Act if: loose/corroded — clean and re-tighten; no charge indication — do not operate, investigate the alternator.
Inspect outrigger pads/cylinders for leaks; check main/aux wire rope for kinks, broken strands and corrosion; inspect the main hook (610 kg) for cracks.
Act if: damaged rope, bent hook or outrigger cylinder leak — stop; do not rig or lift until inspected.
Power on and confirm the LMI, height limiters and over-roll-out limiters respond on the display before any lift.
Act if: limiter fault, no display response, or an alarm that will not clear — do not lift; report for inspection.
Press the horn; test all lamps, indicators, wipers and the reverse/backup alarm.
Act if: any failure — fix before the shift; backup alarm not working — do not operate.
Check steering free play and brake-pedal feel; visually check transmission-shaft bolts, U-bolts, hub bolts and wheel nuts.
Act if: spongy brakes, excess steering play, or loose/missing fasteners — do not travel; rectify first.
Grease gun on boom sections, jib, slewing bearing, outrigger and linkage nipples.
Act if: no old grease purges out — keep applying until it exits. Minimum every 8–10 operating hours.
Use the hourmeter reading — do not delay when a service is due. Read cumulatively. CHANGE / REPLACE / INSPECT / GREASE / CHECK / CLEAN.

Monitor the CAN-bus operation display and LMI for alerts. RED = stop the engine or crane motion immediately; AMBER = act before continuing.
Oil pressure dropped — the engine is running without lubrication.
Immediate action: STOP THE ENGINE IMMEDIATELY. Do not wait. Find the cause before restarting.
Risk if ignored: complete, irreversible engine seizure — contact a SANY dealer.
Coolant failing, radiator blocked or fan failure.
Immediate action: stop work. Idle 2 minutes, then shut down. Check coolant and radiator.
Risk if ignored: warped cylinder head, blown head gasket, seized engine.
Load/moment has reached the rated limit — the system alarms and cuts off the dangerous action.
Immediate action: STOP the lifting motion. Lower or slew back within the safe radius before continuing. Do not override.
Risk if ignored: tip-over, boom structural failure, dropped load — risk to life.
Stability margin is approaching the tipping threshold.
Immediate action: stop all crane motion. Reduce radius or load before any further movement.
Risk if ignored: crane overturn — catastrophic loss and severe injury risk.
Alternator not charging — the electrical system is failing.
Immediate action: check the drive belt and alternator terminal connections immediately.
Risk if ignored: machine won't restart; CAN-bus control may become unreliable.
Hydraulic oil overheating — system overloaded or oil cooler blocked.
Immediate action: stop work. Idle 10–15 minutes with no hydraulic movement to cool the system.
Risk if ignored: pump seal failure, cylinder and control-valve damage.
Air filter blocked — the engine is not getting enough clean air.
Immediate action: stop work. Remove and inspect the outer air filter. Clean or replace.
Risk if ignored: power loss, black smoke, overheating, injector and turbo damage.
Pressure drop — hose, joint or seal failure.
Immediate action: stop all work. Do not operate. Locate and repair the leak before restarting.
Risk if ignored: total hydraulic failure, uncontrolled boom/outrigger movement, fire risk.
Boom-head anemometer reports wind approaching the safe lifting limit.
Immediate action: stop lifting. Lower the boom and secure the load. Do not resume until the wind drops.
Risk if ignored: loss of load control, boom whip, tip-over in gusts.
Fuel near empty — the 350 L tank is approaching reserve.
Immediate action: refuel as soon as possible. Do not run dry.
Risk if ignored: running dry pulls tank sediment into the injectors — expensive repair.
Main or auxiliary wire rope is approaching its roll-out or height limit.
Immediate action: stop the hoist/boom motion. Reverse direction slowly to clear the limit switch.
Risk if ignored: wire-rope roll-out, boom-tip damage, dropped load.
